How Much Will Your Thanksgiving Driving Cost This Year?

Your Thanksgiving drive will likely be cheaper this year, as national average prices at the pump are down about 10% from a year ago, while average prices in 11 states are now below $3 a gallon for regular gas.

According to data from AAA, the national average for a price of regular gas was about $3.30 per gallon on Tuesday, down from $3.66 a year aꦜgo. Gas prices are also down from their high for the year of $3.87 a gallon in mid-August.

Gas prices have been falling in recent months in line with a decline in crude 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:oil prices, which have moved lower amid concerns about economic slowdowns hurting demand. The 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:decline in fuel prices has played a big role in reducing broader ﷽inflationary pressures.

Drivers in Texas will benefit the most from the decline in prices, as the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline is about $2.77. Next lowest are Mississippi at $2.78, Georgia at $2.81, and Louisiana and Oklahoma at $2.85.  Drivers in several other states will find prices below $3 a gallon, including Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Kansas and Tennessee.

California drivers will see the most expensive prices at $4.96 a gallon, followed by $4.73 a gallon gas in Hawaii and $4.25 a gallon in Nevada. Other states with gas prices higher than 🌱$4 a gallon include Washington, Alaska, and Or🦂egon. 

AAA forecasts that 49.13 million drivers will travel 50 miles of more this Thanksgiving week, up 1.7% from a year ago and the most since 49.9 million in 2019.
